Ok…I’m not one to actively bash people I don’t know without a lot of reason *coughwestborocough* but…god damn. I made it about 6 minutes into watching these people before starting to have a small anxiety issue. I skipped around and as soon as Ramsay shows up I just start feeling this awful dread for what’s about to happen.

These people need to be sealed away in some sort of dumpster ala Rita Repulsa.

More importantly, how the HELL did someone convince them to agree to being filmed and aired on public television? Even if they think they’re right, they have to know how badly this makes them look….don’t they?

The lovely woman from Laredo—we were all covered with the same
Powdered sugar. And smiling. There are no better cookies.

And then the airline broke out the free beverages from huge coolers—
Non-alcoholic—and the two little girls for our flight, one African
American, one Mexican American—ran around serving us all apple juice
And lemonade and they were covered with powdered sugar too.

And I noticed my new best friend—by now we were holding hands—
Had a potted plant poking out of her bag, some medicinal thing,

With green furry leaves. Such an old country traveling tradition. Always
Carry a plant. Always stay rooted to somewhere.

And I looked around that gate of late and weary ones and thought,
This is the world I want to live in. The shared world.

Not a single person in this gate—once the crying of confusion stopped
—has seemed apprehensive about any other person.

They took the cookies. I wanted to hug all those other women too.
This can still happen anywhere.

B) I love that Angelina Jolie is being so public about this (not that she’s going through it of course). Having someone as prominent as her go through this is huge. It’s refreshing to have someone speak frankly about what breast cancer entails and can do rather than the BS “Save the boobies” campaigns. She’s made it clear that this is about her life, which is INFINITELY more important than two pieces of flesh that are in no way critical to her health or value.
